Sudan: the security bodies in Nyala torture the demonstrators who are high school students
ANHRI condemns the Sudanese bodies of arresting number of the demonstrators during prisoning them on Thursday November 8, 2012 due to the demonstrations related to Darfor that erupted on July 31, 2012.
The security bodies arrested number of the school students in the Emtedad neighborhood in Nyala city on Thursday morning 8, 2012, as it tortured them and water fire on some of them, in addition to beating some of the detainees which left serious traces on their bodies.
The security bodies threatened the detainees of killing them if they filed criminal reports regarding the torture of their relatives. One of the security members said no one could held them accountable but God.
The security bodies have fabricated the charge of the files’ leaks to the students to justify torturing them. The main reason of arresting those students and torturing them is erupting these demonstration that took place in the region of Darfor to protest against the high cost of the living hood and the economic deterioration and calls to ousted the regime.
Some of the detainees and tortured:
1.Abu Kassim Mohamed Ismail.
2. Mohamed El-Fath Mohamed Adam.
3. Ayed Abdullah Ahmad.
4. Nizar Alfrea.
5. Mohammad Billeh Mohamed.
6. Ahmed Awad.
7. Ammar Abdullah Teeyrab.
ANHRI said that the security bodies can’t continue to use this style in dealing with the protesters as it is not acceptable after the Arab spring revolution, so the regime can’t be isolated from the demands of its people and the right to expression and demonstrations”.
ANHRI asserted its total rejection to the repressive and assassination to the demonstrators in addition to prosecution and threating their relatives if they filed reports.
ANHRI calls for the necessity to open immediate investigation and held the responsible accountable and send them to justice.
