Alexandria Criminal Court acquits the Security of the State Officer who is accused of “Sayed Belal” murdering
The Alexandria criminal court, presidency of “Mostafa Tirana” on Thursday December 20, 2012, acquitted “Mahmoud Abdulalem” of the state security officer who is accused of Sayed Belal murdering. Belal was a Salafi youth who was tortured in order to force him to confess of the Qadisin church crime. The court also rejected the civil claim.
The court heard the “Mohamed Taha”, the president of the public prosecution, who mentioned in the his pleade “that the defendant violated the inviolability of the body in order to force him to confess of Qadisin crime”. He called for the maximum penalty on the defendant. The court also imprisoned 4 Security of State officers and 15 years imprisonment to Mohamed El-Shimy.
