Cairo August 23 , 2012

ANHRI announces its deep condolences and condemns to the killing of the Syrian journalist “Musab Muhammad Saeed El-Awdah Alllah”, by the shooting him in front of his house in Damascus.

“Musab Mohammed Saeed El-Awadah Allah” the journalist in “Tishren” government newspaper, was killed by the forces of the Syrian regime on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 after a raid by security forces on his home and shot him without any obvious reasons for that. He was working in the department of cultural in the newspaper, he has been subjected to many  harassment because of his sympathy with the Syrian revolution, he was investigated more than once, as well as harrasing him during the performing his work, as well as preventing him from leaving the Syrian capital, in addition to being shot in his foot in front of his house since nearly a month.

“Musab” contributed in the transfer and documenting of the regime violations during the revolution that the regime tries to suppress by the military force and he was known for  transferring the picture of the child who wrote on his head the word “hungry” during the siege and tossed the “Dara’a” with the beginning of the Syrian Revolution, where he was the only journalist who managed to penetrate the security barriers to transfer the events.

ANHRI said that “the killing of the journalist “Musab” executed within the series of assassinations that suffered by the journalists and activists in Syria for exposing the violations of the Syrian regime, where he was killed only a few days after the killing of the photojournalist Japanese ” Mika Yamamoto in the agency of Japan Press”due to wounds suffered  in the neighborhood of Suleiman Al-Halabi in Aleppo while she was covering clashes There ”

ANHRI wonders “How long will be the silence on the massacres of the assassin”Bashar Al-Assad “against innocent citizens who are being killed every day without guilt but only expressing their opinions and demands for political reforms, in the light of the weakness of the regional and the international countries as well as the help that is being provided through other countries to the Syrian regime in committing brutal massacres”
