The political researches confirmed the inverse relationship between violence and women participation, the reality confirmed this, where the issue of women participation in decision making is no more a gender issue, but an an indication of the democratic awareness maturity level, and the importance of the election as a way to produce representing elements for all of the society categories, the collective keenness for participation of everybody, therefore it was normal that no more than 4 ladies has reached the parliament through the voting boxes, regardless of the evaluation of the access form, and that with difference of only two ladies than the 1957 elections. in spite of all of the eclectic promises for all of the politics forces, nominating larger number of ladies that could be up to 20% of every party's candidates, and regarding to other serious monitored harmful violations
the Egyptian Center for Woman Rights decided to start a field research as an attempt to identify the violence rate and impact on the democratic transformation future generally, and woman participation in particular.

The book is analyzing violence and its effects on human development. However, the book deals with studies and researches released in the past two years. Also, it deals with what women were subject to of harm and material & moral violence. Although, it deals with the difference of women awareness among various regions in Yemen in regards to what is considered as violence against women. So, the scholar got some samples from (self studies) which showed that 90% of women were subject to moral violence, as 10% were subject to physical abuse that the study included 270 women of different ages and social classes.

Subject: the book draws attention to crimes committed against women through armed struggles and number of civil casualties which exceeds number of armed casualties themselves as men and women are suffering killings and torture. But violations happened to women are ignored, especially the victims of violence. In addition, the book illustrates how the woman, this feeble creature is undergoing burdens of war.
The book also draws attention to sexual violence, outcomes and mark of disgrace following such crime. There are also examples for women exposed to armed violence through wars.

Name of the Book : Al-Bawbab Tree and the Superficial Contradiction between Culture and Human Rights
Subject: a new book issued recently in Arabic by the Women's Forum for Research and Training (WFRT) titled " Al-Bawbab Tree and the Superficial Contradiction between Culture and Human Rights" as it is the translation for the English original edition which released by the international program of training courses in human rights field (IHRIP) in Washington, USA. The Arabic edition is issued as a mutual and cooperative product between WFRT and IHRIP (it is worthy to mention that this is the 2nd mutual edition between the two organizations).
The book includes 7 chapters and 5 appendixes with 132 pages that the 1st chapter is discussing culture and its content as how can we look at it as activists through defined examples from the reality. The book is discussing culture and power in the 2nd chapter, culture and gender in the 3rd chapter, culture and human rights besides culture and human rights activity in the 4th and 5th chapters, investigating and reserving truths within the field of culture and human rights in the 6th chapter, and in the 7th chapter, the book is displaying how to develop strategies about issues of culture and human rights.
The book supposes that culture is fundamental for mankind, so culture-related rights are one of the most important human rights as this is representing the book objective in the first place. The Women's Forum of Research and Training (WFRT) through this Arabic edition of this book, seeks providing help to the non-governmental organizations working in human rights field and to human rights activists in order to collect best experiences, analysis and ideas about issues of culture and rights, because we realize that issues of economic, social and cultural rights had provoked many organizations to consider human rights from a new view instead of considering it as regular standards be applied for everybody regardless of properties characterizing the different communities. The book title has some kind of symbolism as it is borrowed from one of the successful organizations in the field of culture and human rights in Africa.

Name of the Book : Political Citizenship in the Republic of Yemen

Subject: it is a study included in the human rights program that is made in cooperation with Dutch embassy within the frame of citizenship.
The book is an analytical study about the political citizenship as demonstrated by political regime structure, operational procedures, constitutional and legal texts in Yemen during the period 1990-2007. The book occupies rank 12 in human rights studies series. However, the book aims to study citizenship in the Republic of Yemen with its three dimensions: the political, the civilian, and the social within a frame of a project performed by Women's Forum for Research and Training (WFRT).
This study consist of 9 chapters that the 1st chapter deal with the aspect of citizenship from views of sciences, dimensions, fundamentals and also the embodiment methods on the scale of reality. The 2nd chapter is discussing the social existence for citizenship in Yemen with its different dimensions. The 3rd chapter deal with situation of citizenship at the establishment of Republic of Yemen and nature of struggle witnessed by the country during the recent years of Yemen Republic which established on may 22nd, 1990, besides studying changes, how the powers affected the struggle and how the struggle affected the citizenship.
Chapters 4,5,6 and 7 dealt consequently with the political regime structure in its official and non official sides.
While the 8th chapter was concentrating on evaluating the situation of political citizenship via using the quality analysis of the political regime and some other digital scales, the 9th chapter is representing some visions about the required change on the constitutional, legal and procedural scales.
