Despite the 48 hours past the court order to release the arrested members of 6 of April Youth Group, None of them is released until now. They are fears from issuing an order to arrest them according to the emergency law.

A Second Decision to Release the 6th of April Youth Group
Alexandria Appeal Court rejected the prosecution application on challenging the court decision to release the 6th of April Youth Group, and confirmed the first decision.
The 14 young detainees should be released immediately in accordance to this new decision.

In the Internet Activist Arrest Case
Case under no. 5943 for the year 2008 (administrative-Ramal Awal)- Alexandria.
the charges directed to the arrested activists:
1- Gathering
2- participating with others in obstructing transportations, and traffic
3- Gathering in more than 5 persons in public places and assembling persons under the name of “6 April Movement”, using the internet and incitement for overthrow the regime and destabilizing the country.
4-incitement to demonstration through distribution of publications among citizens inviting them for civil disobedience.
Decision
Detention for 15 days under investigations.

1- In the case of libel and defamation against the journalist Mohamed Abd Al Qudous, filed by the Lawyer Samir Al Sheshtawi “ the same claimant in the case of the President’s Health, of Ibrahim Essa”, the case was concluded today in reconciliation. In the presence of the Legal Advocacy Unit- ANHRI, and the legal representative of the Journalists Union”
2- In the case of the libel and defamation against Tamer Mabrouk, filed by Trust Chemical Inc, the court review is postponed until 13th October, 2008, for submitting the documents that support the ownership of Tamer’s Blog, despite of his plea confirming his responsibility for the specific blog, what considered as procrastination by the company.

Port Said Police Arrests the Blogger Tamer Mabrouk
Port Said police forces arrested the blogger Tamer Mabrouk, as he is approaching Trust Chemical Inc. for retrieving his due earnings (profits), this took place while Tamer was trying to file report for prohibiting him from retrieving the profits.
It worth mentioning that the company had filed a lawsuit against Mabrouk accusing him of libel and defamation, which is being reviewed before Azzuhour Misdemeanors Court in Port Said.

- A solidarity stand is planned today at 6:30 PM outside the Journalists Union in solidarity with the Journalist Kamal Murad- Al-Fajr Newspaper- who has blown up the issue of Emad el-Kabaeer by the police forces” where the police forces assaulted him in Behaira governorate and filed a trumped-up case against him.

- Postponement of the court session on the case of Ibrahim Essa the editor-in-chief of Addustour newspaper to Sunday 13 July for ruling into the defense team advocacy concerning the “unconstitutionality of the two articles 188, and 102 reiterated of the penal code, related to publicity of false news. The court rejected reviewing the case before the Misdemeanors’ Court of Boulaq because it has been reviewed before as an state security case under the emergency state laws”.
- The law case of the blogger Tamer Mabrouk is being reviewed now at Azzuhour Court in Port Said, this case was filed by Trust Chemical Inc. accusing the blogger of libel and defamation because publicity of information exposing the company polluting acts against Almanzalah Lake and the persecution of the labors in the Company. Further to this, the company labors now in a strike demanding their rights in the company profits

Investigation with the Activist Lawyer Tarek Al Awadi is proceeding now!
The story received via call phone made by Tarek
Followed an argument took place in the police station of Hadayk El Kobba, about attacking and verbally insulting a lawyer at the police station, which rejected by Tarek and other three lawyers, what led to direct a trumped charges of “ offending police officers” to all of the four lawyers.
The police investigation is taking place now, in the Prosecution Office of Cairo-West, South of Cairo Court, Bab el- Khalg Square.

Around 5 PM yesterday, the police investigation was made with Tarek Al Awadi , Adel Said Abd Rabuh, Magdi Ibrahim, the lawyers, as accused and victims were released from the prosecution quarters on bail (first and second lawyers on 1000 EGP, while the third had paid 500 EGP).
On the other hand, an investigation was conducted with each of the officers, Khalid Rabi’, the deputy commandant of Hadayek Police Station, Abdullah Wafi first lieutenant, Kadri al-Gharabawi, detective assistant, and Abdel Samad Abdel Kadir Police sergeant as accused and victims as well. They were released to on their employment guarantee.
The prosecution general decision was made 3:00 AM today’s morning.
